Duffy: Keeping my baby, testo e streaming del nuovo singolo

Dopo il successo di Well, well, well, il singolo che ha anticipato Endlessly, il suo secondo album, Duffy torna in radio con una nuova canzone. Si tratta di Keeping my baby, un pezzo che riesce a fondere le atmosfere sixties, proprie della produzione della cantautrice britannica con melodie ricche di archi, che alla fine volgono verso sonorità discomusic anni ‘70. Tuttavia Keeping my baby non è un pezzo da discoteca, sia chiaro. Ma ascoltatelo così potrete darci la vostra opinione.

C’è chi è convinto che Endlessly abbia deluso le aspettative, chi pensa che dopo il successo internazionale di Rockferry, l’artista avrebbe dovuto ’sfornare’ qualcosa di più, sia in termini di qualità della musica, che di vendite.

Eppure l’intera opera è stata costruita con il contributo di Albert Hammond, elemento storico del panorama musicale, collaboratore in passato di Tina Tuner e persino del leggendario Hal David. Alcuni critici hanno storto il naso di fronte alla scelta di Duffy di legarsi ad un solo coautore, trovando l’album troppo legato ad una sola scelta stilistica.
